Small Business
Merchant Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
This page is maintained by the Stickylink team to explain what information the Small Business product collects from merchants and how we use it. It supplements, and, for merchant accounts, takes precedence over, the general Stickylink Privacy Policy. If you have any questions, contact us using the information at the end of this page.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to merchants who use Stickylink for Small Business, the merchant dashboard and the $35 Starter Roll of 200 QR stickers. It also covers the tag pages your customers see when they scan a merchant sticker.
2. Information we collect from merchants
- Account information: email address, display name, business name if provided, and authentication data (including any Google sign-in identifier).
- Product and inventory data: product names, SKUs, prices, stock counts, notes, images, and the mapping between each sticker code and a product.
- Ledger data: "mark sold" sale events, timestamps, and any batch identifiers you assign, used to power the sales ledger and Excel export.
- Order and payment information: shipping address for sticker rolls and Stripe transaction identifiers for one-time Starter Roll purchases. We do not store full payment card numbers; Stripe processes those directly.
- Technical and usage data: browser type, device type, approximate location, IP address, and error logs used to keep the merchant dashboard secure and reliable.
3. What customers see when they scan a tag
A customer-facing scan of a merchant sticker shows the information you have chosen to publish on that tag, typically a product name, price, and any description or photo you have added. It does not expose your full SKU, stock counts, or ledger. Only signed-in merchant accounts see those controls.
Please only publish product information you are comfortable sharing publicly. Do not put customer personal information, payment details, or confidential business data into a tag's public copy.
4. How we use merchant information
- Operate the merchant dashboard, product mapping, and real-time ledger.
- Fulfill and ship Starter Rolls and any add-on sticker orders.
- Process one-time Starter Roll payments through Stripe.
- Generate the Excel export you request for your own bookkeeping.
- Detect abuse, fraud, and security issues on merchant accounts.
- Respond to your support requests and send important account updates.
5. How we share information
We do not sell merchant data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate Stickylink for Small Business:
- Stripe, one-time payments for sticker-roll orders.
- Cloud/hosting provider, hosts the app, database, and file storage.
- Google, only when you choose to sign in with Google.
- Email and notification services, order confirmations, shipping updates, and account notifications once a verified sender domain is configured.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to respond to a valid legal request.
6. Your customers' information
You are the controller of any customer information you choose to enter into your Stickylink dashboard (for example, custom notes on a sale). You are responsible for complying with any privacy laws that apply to your customers, and for only entering information you have the right to store.
7. Data retention
We keep merchant account, product, and ledger data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Order records are retained for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes. You can request deletion of your merchant account and its ledger by contacting us; some information may be retained for legal or business reasons.
8. Security
We protect Stickylink with industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections, access controls, and database row-level security so that only your merchant account can see your full SKU, stock, and ledger data. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your login credentials private.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use only the cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in, remember session preferences, and run essential dashboard features. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
10. International users
Stickylink is operated from the United States. If you access the merchant dashboard from outside the United States, you understand your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the merchant product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
